Kyle Rodriguez began painting after studying Illustration at university. This practise was heavily invested into, Kyle realised he could draw with truth and affectation but found at first his painting had to through a journey as much as his illustrative drawings skills. Being heavily influenced by German expressionism, surrealism, existentialism and other modernist painters, Kyle Rodriguez began to adopt his own visual form. Many canvases have been destroyed in the process as well been painted over. These paintings are ones that have stood the test of time and remain in the artists personal collection. However Kyle Rodriguez wishes to expand on his painting abilities and create a retrospective of work from old to contemporary artworks.
